Welcome to the Maranatha Preschool
Maranatha Christian Preschool Academy of Learning is now in its fifth year of providing a quality preschool experience for three and four year old children. We strive to provide a developmentally appropriate experience for each child within a caring, loving, and safe Christian environment.
Our commitment to quality includes membership in the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the practice of its policies, ongoing staff education and training, and the use of a Bible based and academically appropriate early childhood curriculum. We pride ourselves on a strong preschool community that encourages parent and family participation.
Staff
We have a loving , caring, and educated staff with many combined years of experience. Our staff attends early childhood education training cnferences twice per year to keep up-to-date on new and exciting teaching skills. Our student/teacher ratio is kept low to be sure that each child receives individual attention.

Curriculum
We teach using a Bible based curriculum, hands-on learning experiences, and through music, art, and movement. Children learn by doing!
Safety
We feel that the safety of our children should always be top priority. All staff members, including substitutes and regular volunteers must be fingerprinted and background checked. We have security cameras located in our main classroom, our activity room, and in the hallway. Our entry door remains locked between arrival time and dismissal time. Our little ones are precious and we take keeping them safe very seriously.
Closing Policies
- When Kanawha County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, Maranatha Preschool will also be closed.
- If there is a delay in the opening of Kanawha County Schools, there will be NO PRESCHOOL.
- Listen to the radio or television for announcements.
Days and Hours
4 Year Olds
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:30 am - 11:30 pm
3 Year Olds
Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 am - 11:30 pm
Fees/Registration
Enrollment Fee - $60
Monthly Tuition:
- Three Year Old - $80/month
- Four Year Old - $95/month
To be paid on or before the first school day of each month.
We offer a 10% tuition discount if the year is paid in full by September 10.
